There are companies that pamper their candidates … And others. The ChooseMyCompany platform publishes the new edition of its ranking of companies that offer the best recruitment experiences.

Three quarters of the candidates interviewed say that they are “Happy with their experience”. A figure slightly down compared to 2021, but at the same level as 2021.

Another constant: the English shipowner CMA-CGM once again takes the top spot in the category of companies with more than 1,500 employees (as in 2021 and 2021). Follow on the Orange podium and the automotive supplier Valeo.

In the ranking of companies with less than 1,500 employees we find Juridica, a legal service for individuals, followed by BeijaFlore, a digital strategy consulting firm. Finally, the Dexia bank takes third position.

This survey, conducted among 8,605 respondents, also reveals the expectations of candidates: an upstream understanding of the work environment, complete information and transparency in the recruitment process. A novelty emerges in 2021: corporate social responsibility (CSR) and the environment become a criterion of choice for a majority of candidates (58%).

On the other hand, three criteria are identified as “danger zone” for employers. Response times (74%, + 1.7 points compared to 2021), feedback (71%, + 2.6 points) and clarity of remuneration (69%, + 4.3 points).

According to the ranking, the candidates select a company both on what it sells… and for what it stands for. Eight out of ten candidates apply because they are attracted by the image of the products and services offered by the employer.

Lack of customization

In terms of the recruitment process, the online experience improves in its efficiency, but loses points on personalization elements (response time, access to information, etc.)

And above all, employers are still struggling to disseminate their corporate culture in a paperless recruitment process. As a result, only 61% of applicants say they are satisfied with their online application experience, six points down from 2021.

To achieve this ranking, 8,605 candidates took part in the study conducted by ChooseMyCompany with 229 companies. These were screened and scored, based on their reputation, the recruitment process, the people the candidate met and the information they had when applying.
